MIDI?

I used to use the Amigia back in the day to make music and although the Amiga has no built in MIDI interface, a converter could be purchased that plugged in to the serial port. I was wondering if Amibian supported a way of using the USB port on the PI as a MIDI interface, or if not a script was available to make programs such as Music - X and Bars and Pipes work with MIDI.

Has anyone answered this question. I am just confronting it. In some threads about the Denebian environment requires the loading of the Alsa package (I hope I am remembering the name correctly). Does that make any sense to a solution under Amiga software on Amibian?
