USB completion pro joystick issue

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me. I have installed Amibian 1.313 on my Raspberry Pi 3 and have it working. I have a USB completion pro joystick configured in the input section. However, when playing games such as SWOS, it doesn’t react as I would expect. For example I can’t curl the football ball or move in a diagonal direction. The joystick works fine on my PC. Any ideas on how I can rectify this issue?
