How can I use a USB stick as a hard drive in Amibian. Is it a UAE config or an Amibian one? Any help would be appreciated.

I just use hardfiles (.hdf) on a usb drive, plugged into the pi, with mapping ../../media/usb0/file.hdf because when I am done, it is easy to back it upon my PC in the event of a boo boo or corruption. Beta 1.5 requires correctionto access USB from inside Amibian, see Amibian facebook page for correction. (edit a file and change a variable)

No problem. The first USB drive should show up as /media/usb0 or /media/usb.
They used to do it under mnt, but now I think that's reserved for the hard drive partitions.

In the first Amibian screen (where you set everything up), there is a tab for "Hard Drive /CD" in the left-site list. That's where you can select your drives for Amibian. If you are trying to set it up entirely from scratch, the easiest way would be through UAE on your PC, then pull the drive into the Amibian system. Question: Have you ever set up an Amiga from scratch before? Additionally, what kind of Amiga system are you trying to build out and emulate?(i.e.: Classic Amiga 500 with Workbench 1.3? Souped up Amiga 1200 with a 3.9 based ClassicWB build? Just something that will run games?)
The reason I ask is that if you just want a games machine, it might be easier to set up a RetroPie. If you're looking for an all-in-one option to run the full Workbench with all the bells and whistles, you definitely want to look up some tutorials on Youtube. Additionally, I built out a spreadsheet in Google Drive that might be of help, if you want to build out multiple configs:
Additionally, if you need help with a fresh install of the Workbench (OS), There is a wonderful step-by-step guide site that a wonderful guy that went by the Green Amiga Alien put together (sadly, he passed away back in 2007, but his website is still up and helps a lot):http://guide.abime.net/frame.htm
If you have any specific questions, I can try to help, but I usually jump on here once every few weeks to see if there's been any updates.
