In the newer version, CD/ISO mounting works but it doesn't seem to properly in 3.1 running on Amibian.
I ended up loading my HDFs into WinUAE and upgraded through there, and got the HDFs then to work in Amibian using my 3.1 configuration cloned.
Note: I have only done this with vanilla 3.1 and vanilla 3.5/3.9 upgrades.
To get 3.1 all the way to 3.9, the only way I successfully did it was via upgrading to 3.5 first, then from 3.5 to 3.9 (via a cloned HDF).
Note: I do seem able to load ISOs in 3.5/3.9 OSes that work in Amibian, so I think it's an issue on the 3.1 side.

Outside of the CD32 presets (assuming using latest version of Chips' UAE4ARM), CDFS is not properly initialized. So, it is recommended to use WinUAE to set up the OS from the CD, then transfer the Hardfile or the install folder to UAE4ARM and you can continue patching/updating the system from there.
